Out of 211 invitations, 184 invitations went to Express Entry and Labour Impact candidates. The remaining 27 invitations went to Business Impact candidates.
Those invited must have had a Expression of Interest (EOI) score of at least 97. Business Impact candidates needed a minimum EOI score of at least 184.
PEI’s Express Entry category is a PNP program that is aligned with Canada’s federal Express Entry system.
Candidates who are in the Express Entry pool are given a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on their age, education, work experience, language ability and adaptability.
Those with a provincial nomination receive an additional 600 CRS points. This practically guarantees an invitation to apply for permanent residence in a subsequent Express Entry draw.
PEI’ Labour Impact category is for foreign candidates who have a valid job offer in the province with support from their employer. This category is further divided into three streams:
– Skilled Worker
– Critical Worker
– International Graduate.
Applicants who are interested in this category are required to submit an EOI profile.
Finally, the province’s Business Impact category includes the Work Permit Stream. This allows entrepreneurs to come to the province on a work permit before receiving a provincial nomination for permanent residence.
